Due Back...

Literature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become. -C.S Lewis

Beyond Jennifer & Jason, Madison & Montana by Linda Rosenkrantz and Pamela Redmond Satran. I came across this book when I was pregnant with Jonah. Even though we already had Jonah's name picked out, I enjoyed reading this. Instead of a simple alphabetical list of names, they break names into categories (Hot,Spiritual, So Far Gone They Are Never Coming Back ect...) They also list the top baby names of several other countries. They also offer alternatives if you like a really popular name, but don't want a popular name. Bottom line is this is my favorite baby name book!

The Last Word on First Names by Linda Rosenkrantz and Pamela Redmond Satran. This one is an alphabetical list, but there is a paragraph for each name with info (beyond the meaning). You'll notice it's by the same authors.

Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew. I have been wanting to read this book for a couple years, but it's always been checked out. I would love try a garden like this.
