Due Back...

Literature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become. -C.S Lewis

As always, the inactivity on this blog in no way reflects my reading! I have a lot of books to list since my last entry, I probably won't remember them all.

Sickened: The Memoir of a Munchausen by Proxy Childhood by Julie Gregory. This was okay, not really as much insight in munchausen by proxy then I was expecting.

The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. Emily recommended this awhile ago when I asked for recommendations and it was VERY good.

Whatever Happened to Penny Candy? by Richard J Maybury. This is a book about inflation. Jeremiah loves this book and has been after me to read it for so long. I finally read it. It's a really good primer for economics and the boys will definitely be reading it in the future.

The Shack by William P. Young. I read reviews on this book that made me order it immediately, then I read reviews that made me cancel my order. I finally decided to read it when I saw it at Sam's club. Not sure what to say, I think it offers a lot to think about...however the theology is a bit...weird.

Into the Silent Planet by C.S Lewis. This was my birthday present. It's the first in his space trilogy and I'm excited to finally start reading it (I already have the other two).

The Host by Stephenie Meyer. My friend lent me this book and I really enjoyed it.

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.

New Moon by Stephenie Meyer.

Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer.

The last three are the Twilight saga (with the fourth and final book coming out next month). This series was geared more for teens but I still really enjoyed them. They had me up late every night reading for a week, and I can't wait until the last book is released. This is one of those series where the characters are so memorable and likable that you really miss them when you finish the book.
