Due Back...

Literature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become. -C.S Lewis

I'm a little behind, I've already read most of these. I tend to read a lot of fiction in pregnancy. I guess because I can relax and read more without feeling guilty (specially when I have to try and control my blood pressure).

SAHM I Am by Meredith Efken. Sam's Club has some Christian Fiction by some new women authors for less than 8 dollars. This was an easy, and funny, read.

Gap Creek By Robert Morgan. This caught my eye because it had a "historical fiction" sticker on it. Then I saw it also had the Oprah's Book Club seal on it. I really don't think it fit the "historical fiction" category, but it wasn't bad. The male author's attempt at describing childbirth was pretty far off though.

Monster by Frank Peretti. One of my favorite authors. This book was published in 2005 but I had never heard of it! It was really good, as all his books are.

Songbird by Lisa Samson. This is a Christian author I haven't tried. I have recently read about her on Dolly Mama's blog and she sounded like an author I would like.

Things We Once Held Dear by Ann Tatlock. Another Christian author I haven't read yet. I saw this book on the new fiction shelf and it looked good before I even knew it was Christian fiction.

The Brethren by Beverly Lewis. The third and final book in the Preacher's Daughter trilogy. Once again, I lucked out finding it in at the library.
