Due Back...

Literature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become. -C.S Lewis

The Magician's Nephew by C.S Lewis (first in the Chronicles of Narnia)
I checked this out to read aloud to the boys. This was a great book! I had to stop and clarify things once in a while, and refresh the boy's memory each time before I read but they enjoyed it.

Hot Lights, Cold Steel Life, Death and Sleepless Nights in a Surgeon's First Years by Michael J. Collins, M.D. I really enjoy books written by doctors about their residencies and training. I was excited to see a new one on the shelf as I have already read every other one at the library.****Very good! I was not disapointed in the least.

Great minds think alike! I just started a "books I've read this year" blog...didn't know you had, too!

I read this book to the kids and they loved it too...but sometimes I had to also remind them of what we read previously. We went on to start The lion, the witch and the wordwarb but we havent finished it yet - they saw the movie so its been a little harder to keep their attention with it.
