Due Back...

Literature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become. -C.S Lewis

First books of 2006

I have always wished I kept a journal of books I have read. I decided that now is a good time to start! The stars are my own rating (1-5), no stars means I haven't read it yet. I came home with these books after our first trip to the library this year:

Nourishing Traditions The cookbook that Challenges Politically Correct Nutrition and the Diet Dictocrats by Sally Fallon. ***

Haircutting for Dummies by J. Elaine Spear*** (I have found all the "for Dummies" books I have read to be easy to understand and full of good info)

Does This Make Me Look Fat? by Leah Feldo *

What not to wear by Trinny Woodall & Susannah Constantine ***

How to Start Making Money with your Sewing by Karen Maslowski

simple knits for cherished babies
bye Erika Knight ****

Knits for Barbie doll by Nicky Epstein ****

Have you really read that many books already? Or have you browsed through some? I am still trying to finish book #1 of this year!

Well, the books about what clothes to wear were mostly pictures so they didn't take long. The knitting books are just pictures and patterns. I read most of the nourishing traditions, but most of that is recipes. I'm in the middle of the making money on sewing book, and I have yet to look at the haircutting book.
